1. Who we are
wAize ("wAize", "we", "us") is a custom software, automation, and applied-AI consultancy based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our website and the inquiries you send us through it, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.
Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to info.waize@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name (optional)
- The contents of your message
- The date and time you agreed to this policy
Information collected automatically
- With a form submission: the page you submitted from and your browser's user-agent string (used for spam prevention and debugging).
- Standard server logs: our hosting providers automatically record basic request data (such as IP address, request time, and pages requested) to operate and secure the service.
Cookies
The public marketing pages of our website do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Essential cookies are used only where strictly necessary — for example, to keep you signed in to the client portal if you have an account.
3. Why we collect it
We use personal information only to:
- Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your project
- Scope, deliver, and support the services you ask us about
- Prevent spam and abuse of our forms
- Maintain, secure, and improve our website
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We will not add you to a marketing list without your separate, explicit consent.
4. Consent
By submitting our contact form with the consent checkbox selected, you consent to us collecting and using the information above to respond to your inquiry. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info.waize@gmail.com; we will stop the related use of your information and, on request, delete it, subject to any legal retention requirements.
5. Where your information is stored and who can access it
We use a small number of carefully chosen service providers to operate the website and store inquiries:
- Supabase — database hosting for form submissions
- Vercel — website hosting and request logs
These providers may store and process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. While your information is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and courts, law enforcement, and national-security authorities there may be able to access it. We use providers with strong contractual and technical safeguards, and we limit what we share to the minimum needed.
Within wAize, access to your information is restricted to the people who need it to respond to you.
6. How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as it is needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, and then for a reasonable period for record-keeping, after which it is deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. How we protect it
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) across the entire site
- Database access restricted by row-level security and least-privilege credentials
- Access limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and review our safeguards regularly.
8. Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and how it is used
- Access that information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent and request deletion, subject to legal requirements
To exercise any of these rights, email info.waize@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes to how we handle already-collected information will only be made with fresh consent where required by law.
